What Is a Tattoo?

Tattoo Artist Let's quickly remind ourselves exactly what a tattoo is: A tattoo is a permanent mark or design made on the body when pigment is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin through ruptures in the skin's top layer.

Modern-day tattoos are applied by using an electric tattoo machine with needles that rapidly puncture the skin with an up and down motion not unlike that of a sewing machine.

The Sexiest Places to Get a Tattoo

The Sexiest Places to Get a Tattoo
By JR Willis

What are the sexiest places for a woman to get a tattoo? This is a question I have been asked many times. I have done some research and compiled a list of the sexiest places for a woman to get a tattoo. The results are from women and men.

The following places are more common areas that are considered to be a sexy place for a woman to get a tattoo.

1. Lower back

2. Upper breast

3. Ankle

4. Wrist

5. Shoulder

6. Back of your neck

There are also some more daring, creative and unusual places that women get tattoos that are even sexier. You can let just a tiny bit of your tattoo show to make your admirer wonder about what is underneath. You may also want to keep tattoos in these areas completely covered so they are shared with a special person of your choice.

1. Just above your pubic area

2. On your hip

3. Just underneath your bra strap

4. On your inner thigh

5. Around your belly button

6. On your tailbone

Now that you have some ideas for your tattoo, think about other places that you may want to consider. Think about what you want the tattoo to do. Is it to entice others to notice you? If so put it where it will be seen or just a small part of it seen. This will draw the eye to it. If you want it for just a special someone put it somewhere it can be completely hidden. Most important you should get the tattoo for you. Don't do it just for others, do it for you and make it something meaningful.

Whatever you decide for your tattoo take some time to think about what you want and what is the desired effect you want your tattoo to have. Also remember that a tattoo is forever, make it something meaningful.

Tattoos are sexy. A well placed tattoo can really draw attention to you. It is important to consider many things when getting a tattoo. Tattoos are forever so choose wisely. For help in choosing a location and design and to make the tattoo meaningful see the tips at Sexy Tattoos For Women

How Do Lasers Remove Tattoos?

Rose Tattoo, design Tattoo,Girl Tattoo,Woman Tattoo,Sexy Tattoo How Do Lasers Remove Tattoos Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body's immune system. Researchers have determined which wavelengths of light to use and how to deliver the laser's output to best remove tattoo ink. (If you're wondering if the laser might also remove normal skin pigment, don't worry. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin.)

Tattoo inks

Tattoo inkModern tattooing inks are carbon based pigments that have uses outside of commercial tattoo applications. Although the United States Food and Drug Administration technically requires premarket approval of pigments it has not actually approved the use of any ink or pigments for tattooing (because of a lack of resources for such relatively minor responsibilities).[citation needed] As of 2004 the FDA does perform studies to determine if the contents are possibly dangerous, and follow up with legal action if they find them to have disallowed contents, including traces of heavy metals (such as iron oxide) or other carcinogenic materials (see CA lawsuit). The first known study to characterize the composition of these pigments was started in 2005 at Northern Arizona University (Finley-Jones and Wagner). The FDA expects local authorities to legislate and test tattoo pigments and inks made for the use of permanent cosmetics. In California, the state prohibits certain ingredients and pursues companies who fail to notify the consumer of the contents of tattoo pigments. Recently, the state of California sued nine pigment and ink manufacturers, requiring them to more adequately label their products.
