What Is a Tattoo?

Tattoo Artist Let's quickly remind ourselves exactly what a tattoo is: A tattoo is a permanent mark or design made on the body when pigment is inserted into the dermal layer of the skin through ruptures in the skin's top layer.

Modern-day tattoos are applied by using an electric tattoo machine with needles that rapidly puncture the skin with an up and down motion not unlike that of a sewing machine.

Looking For a Quality Drawn Male Tattoo on the Web

Looking For a Quality Drawn Male Tattoo on the Web
By Adam Woodham

I remember looking for a quality drawn male tattoo on the net about four years ago and it was fun and easy. Times have sure changed, though. So many men are finding it nearly impossible to get a hold of even "one" gallery that has any sort of fresh, quality artwork. I started looking into this growing problem and what I found was a big problem with an easy solution. Finding a fantastic male tattoo can be fun once again.

The real reason I started researching this problem was because one of my closer friends was talking to me about how he simply couldn't find crisp, quality drawn tattoos online. He was being brought to one gallery after another that had nothing besides an ocean full of generic junk and cookie cutter images. Sure, he had his pickings from any generic male tattoo he wanted, but the original, quality artwork was nowhere to be found.

That's when I started seeing if other men were having this problem. Sure enough, about nine out of ten men were going through the same thing. Do you want to know what most of them had in common? Each of them was resorting to use some kind of search engine to look for galleries that had tattoos! That is the problem. The tools that used to be such a wonderful resource are now pretty useless, because they pull up nothing but stagnant galleries that are loaded with generic male tattoo designs.

It doesn't matter if you are looking for some simple tribals, or some other styles. Search engines are showing people the same old list of places that don't care about the quality of the artwork they post. It's all about "quantity" now, no matter what kind of male tattoo they offer. The truly good galleries are still out there, though. You just won't be finding many of them continuing like this.

So, what can you do about this? Well, this is also a topic I have figured out. I found out that forums can be fantastic tools for finding the great male tattoo galleries out there. You will want to rely on the bigger forums, because they usually have a huge backlog of topics revolving around tattoos and related subjects. It's were other enthusiasts share their findings of quality, original artwork. You won't believe how many lesser known, underground type websites there are that truly take pride in having superb tattoos. That's what you need and this is the easiest way t accomplish it.

If you don't mind having some generic male tattoo etched on your skin, you don't have to go through the trouble, but finding "exactly" what you want is always worth the effort.

Here are the 3 largest, most original websites to browse for the perfect Male Tattoo.

How Do Lasers Remove Tattoos?

Rose Tattoo, design Tattoo,Girl Tattoo,Woman Tattoo,Sexy Tattoo How Do Lasers Remove Tattoos Lasers work by producing short pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the tattoo pigment. This laser energy causes the tattoo pigment to fragment into smaller particles that are then removed by the body's immune system. Researchers have determined which wavelengths of light to use and how to deliver the laser's output to best remove tattoo ink. (If you're wondering if the laser might also remove normal skin pigment, don't worry. The laser selectively targets the pigment of the tattoo without damaging the surrounding skin.)

Tattoo inks

Tattoo inkModern tattooing inks are carbon based pigments that have uses outside of commercial tattoo applications. Although the United States Food and Drug Administration technically requires premarket approval of pigments it has not actually approved the use of any ink or pigments for tattooing (because of a lack of resources for such relatively minor responsibilities).[citation needed] As of 2004 the FDA does perform studies to determine if the contents are possibly dangerous, and follow up with legal action if they find them to have disallowed contents, including traces of heavy metals (such as iron oxide) or other carcinogenic materials (see CA lawsuit). The first known study to characterize the composition of these pigments was started in 2005 at Northern Arizona University (Finley-Jones and Wagner). The FDA expects local authorities to legislate and test tattoo pigments and inks made for the use of permanent cosmetics. In California, the state prohibits certain ingredients and pursues companies who fail to notify the consumer of the contents of tattoo pigments. Recently, the state of California sued nine pigment and ink manufacturers, requiring them to more adequately label their products.
